UFC Odds - Dollaway, Munoz Square Off In Louisville - Sports - Martial Arts

March Madness betting players are very familiar with the city of Louisville, home of the Cardinals, but on Saturday night it will be home to the first UFC event in the city, along with the first 3D broadcast in the history of the UFC. UFC Live: Sanchez vs. Kampmann will go off at the KFC Yum! Center, and there will be an interesting matchup in the middleweight division as C.B. Dollaway takes on Mark Munoz.

UFC Betting Thursday, 10:00 PM ET

Dollaway (11-2, five KOs) was a finalist on the seventh season of The Ultimate Fighter, and even though he lost to Amir Sadollah, he was still offered a contract to fight professionally in the UFC. :the Doberman was an All-American wrestler at Arizona State, but he is now working his way up the ranks in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, which would be a great addition to his fantastic wrestling skills. Dollaway has won three matches in a row, including a guillotine that put him over on Joe Doerksen at UFC 119 that proved to be the Submission of the Night, the second time in his UFC career that he has been awarded that honor.

Munoz (9-2, four KOs) is also on a roll with four wins in his last five matches, and the lone loss came in a tough split decision against Yushin Okami in August 2010. Like Dollaway, The Filipino Wrecking Machine is a former All-American wrestler from his time at Oklahoma State, and he is one level ahead of his opponent when it comes to Brazilian jiu-jitsu as he is a purple belt (Dollaway is a blue belt). But a major worry for anyone who faces Munoz is his ground and pound, as he is relentless when he has you on the mat, whereas Dollaways aim is to clinch on a submission.

Let's look at the UFC Predictions for tonight's fight. Were willing to bet 5dimes that this match will end up on the mat at some point, given the wrestling skills of these two warriors. Munoz has been made the sports betting UFC Odds favorite at -200, while Dollaway comes in at +160. This will be a war of attrition as both will look to impose their will on the other, and takedown defense is going to be an important factor for the winner of this match as both will be looking to take this to the ground. Were giving the slight edge to Munoz because of his power, which will give him an edge in the stand-up part of the contest. Dollaway is a tough customer, but Munozs sheer power will be enough to give him a much-needed win in a crowded middleweight division.
