UFC 116 Gambling Sneak Peek - Sports

UFC 116 on Saturday evening in Las Vegas is topped by a superb competition in the heavyweight division as champ Brock Lesnar fights interim champ Shane Carwin. It'll be a struggle of brute force that ought to be really entertaining for as long as it lasts. Lesnar has bullied his way through each one of his opponents thus far in UFC betting odds but Carwin has the power to come right back at Lesnar.

Lesnar is a -170 fave at the online MMA betting sportsbooks.

Lesnar is liked in UFC probabilities but Carwin is very capable of winning this bout. He has the power to knock Lesnar out and not a lot of fighters in the UFC can say that. None of the 12 opponents to bout Carwin has ever made it out of the 1st round. Lesnar has been training to avoid Carwin's power, which he's aware of. Lesnar hasn't fought since July of last year due to the fact of a significant illness. With the power of these 2 fighters, the bount should end early, though if the bout was going to be a long one that might be a concern.

Most of Lesnar's success comes from him being at the top end of the 206-265 pound heavyweight range. He totally dwarfs his opponents and definitely leaves people who gambled against him second-guessing their choice.

Shane Carwin is unbeaten 12-0, has a lot of knock-out power in his fists, and has never left the 1st round of a bout. Carwin has beaten a couple hard opponents on his road to the championship shot.

There are 5 fights on the main card for Saturday evening. It'll be Yoshihiro Akiyama battling Chris Leben, Matt Brown against Chris Lytle, Stephan Bonnar against Krzysztof Soszynski and Kurt Pellegrino against George Sotiropoulos in addition to the championship competition between Carwin and Lesnar. The bout between Akiyama and Leben is viewed as a co-feature but in fact it's not since Carwin against Lesnar is a standout bout. Leben was not even supposed to be in this competition against Akiyama but Wanderlei Silva got hurt and had to pull out. Akiyama has said he does not truly want to be at UFC 116 in any way since he can not fight Silva but money talks so he'll be there. The one between Brown and Lytle might be a more entertaining competition. This bout may easily get Fight of the Night honors since they both love to slug it out. The fight between Bonnar and Soszynski is a rematch from UFC 110 wagering probabilities when Bonnar lost as a result of a cut.

The fighters main in the UFC 116 probabilities tournament aren't quite well known fighters, especially on the preliminary card, in contrast to some of the most recent UFC gambling tournaments. The preliminary card kicks off with 2 fights aired on Spike TV. It is Brendan Schaub vs Chris Tuchscherer and Ricardo Romero competing with Seth Petruzelli. The other 4 matches on the preliminary card have Goran Reljic against Kendall Grove, Gerald Harris against Dave Branch, Daniel Roberts against Forrest Petz and Jon Madsen against Karlos Vemola.
