UFC 116 Betting: Lesnar Will Knock Out Carwin - Sports

On paper the UFC 116 wagering main event looks quite compelling for MMA fight wagering devotees.

But when the rubber hits the pavement and UFC wagering champ Brock Lesnar and Interim Champion Shane Carwin step into the Octagon it will be anything but compelling.

Lesnar will wipe the floor with Carwin in sports betting and quite likely earn a Knock Out win vs the mining engineer from Colorado. Carwin is simply not in the same class as Lesnar as a contender despite the fact that his track record in the run-up to this UFC 116 odds competition may be outstanding.

Much has been made of Lesnar's earlier career as a performing circus clown in Vince McMahan's traveling WWE circus. His credibility as an MMA contender has been critically questioned since his UFC gambling debut and continues to be all the way up this UFC 116 gambling competition. But it's not fair, and insane, to compare what he did in his fake wrestling days to what he's doing now in the UFC Main Events.

Lesnar (4-1) has gotten better with every competition and has shown exceptional progress as an MMA contender during his brief career. He joined the UFC gambling as a strong but raw contender and gradually his expertise and athleticism have been honed into a quite outstanding MMA gambling champ.

Carwin, owner of a perfect MMA wagering track record (12-0), hasn't fought any person even close to Lesnar's skill level inside the Octagon and the UFC 116 odds competition will be a rude awakening for the man. Of course the heavyweight division of the UFC right now is a little thin but still the list of fighters that Carwin has defeated versus tournament that Lesnar has defeated is really not even comparable.

But nobody who's ever fought Carwin has seen the second round. Carwin secured the interim heavyweight championship with his outstanding win over Frank Mir in his last match at UFC 111. And with an undefeated track record of 12-0, you'd feel he'd have earned some respect. But he's still thought to be the underdog by the oddsmakers. Carwin himself has stated that if he touches any person with his hands, he can KO them. He's pretty confident in his own expertise.

Carwin and Lesnar have many similarities and that may make the UFC 116 wagering competition fairly intriguing, at least for a while, but Lesnar should have his way with Carwin and perhaps even knock him out. Both are aggressive in their fighting techniques and are former wrestling winners.

Before Shane Carwin won the interim heavyweight tournament, the 2 were originally set to encounter each other at UFC 106 but Brock Lesnar pulled out of the match as a result of an illness that kept him from training.

UFC 116 odds gamblers will probably see lots of striking and with these strong men that opens up lots of possibilities for a Knock Out. And if any person is going to get knocked out in this UFC wagering competition most almost certainly going to be Carwin.

UFC 116 is planned for July 3 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Do not forget to see the UFC 116 card for the rest of the bout wagering action.
