Nicholas Robert Diaz (blessed August 2, 1983) is the American mixed martial musician of Mexican descent. He is the previous Strikeforce Welterweight Champion, WEC and IFC Welterweight Safe bet. He has competed from the Ultimate Fighting Championship, Pride Fighting Championships in addition to Elite Xtreme Combat. Diaz was promoted to black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu by Cesar Gracie about May 8, 2007. Diaz trains at Cesar Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy with Pleasant Hill, California. Diaz holds the distinction of experiencing never been submitted, and has been done by strikes once inside 34 fights. He is currently graded the #2 welterweight on the globe by Sherdog, ESPN, MMAWeekly, and USA Today.
Diaz was born in Stockton, California. He is the more mature brother of UFC martial artist Nate Diaz. He went to Tokay Secondary school in Lodi for 1 year before dropping out. While a freshman, he was a person in the swimming team. Diaz has stated previously that he is glad his mother got him into swimming classes because swimming is among the main reasons why his cardio can be so impressive during his spats. Diaz has also mentioned on multiple occasions that he had a hard childhood and was raised without his biological dad.
Diaz originally started learning martial arts because he was being bullied by other teenagers who were bigger than he seemed to be. He then watched the UFC for the first time and soon wanted to fight in the group. His younger brother, Nathan is also an established MMA fighter in the lightweight division and the winner of The Greatest Fighter 5. Nick also regularly competes in triathlons included in his training. Diaz started training in Sambo at the age of 16 under a Bulgarian Countrywide Sambo Champion Valeri Ignatov. In his recent meet with with Ariel Helwani, Diaz stated that they still trains Sambo beneath the same coach hence the reason his ground game is different from other MMA fighters in which only train in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Carlos Joseph Condit (born April 26, 1984) is a great American mixed martial artist currently fighting to the Ultimate Fighting Championship as a welterweight.
Condit initially received nationwide attention for his run as the final WEC Welterweight Success. Condit is consistently ranked inside the top ten welterweights on the globe by various media stores. He is currently rated #6 by Sherdog, and #4 by STATES Today Consensus Rankings.
Condit formerly fought within the UFC's sister promotion, World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC), where he was one more WEC welterweight champion. He also competed for both Shootboxing and Pancrase inside Japan.
