Fans of the CBS military drama television series The Unit can look forward to a number of high-profile celebrities gracing their favorite show with their presence in guest roles. Among these is mixed martial arts veteran Randy Couture, who has come out on top in UFC championships no less than five times. His role is said to be one which will stir up some action on the series. Couture is arguably one of the most well-known fighters in the history of the brutal sport, and he has triumphed in the past over the likes of Tim Sylvia, Tito Ortiz, Chuck Liddell, and Gabriel Gonzaga.
Another one of Couture's accomplishments is being the only contender in the history of the UFC to win another championship after getting inducted in to the Hall of Fame. In The Unit, Couture's character is named Sergeant Strickland. He will be seen in an episode titled "M. P." which is set to broadcast on the 30th of October, a Tuesday and right before Halloween. Also featured in the chapter are Mack, Grey, and Jonas, as the three of them attempt to smuggle in a pop star princess in order to help keep the troops entertained. However, Bob also has to contend with a risky mission as a bodyguard, where he has to look after a prisoner who is being sent home to his country of origin, in order to face execution.
Another guest star who will be appearing during the episode is Mikalah Gordon, who previously gained screen time in the public eye during the fourth season of American Idol, where she was the 11th finalist. Gordon is set to portray the character of Lila Lee, and she will also make an appearance on another television series, Living With Fran. There, she plays a cousin of Fran's named Brianna, who also works as a singer for Broadway.
