Focus On UFC 120 Gambling Competition: No Huge Fighters But Plenty of Huge Competition - Sports

MMA buffs have been spoiled by the unbelievable fights that they have viewed in recent months and they have the tendency to complain if they do not get the big names they want in the UFC Main Events. So the impending UFC 120 gambling fights have not been well received by much of the gambling public. After beginning the 2010 calendar year with dream matchup after dream matchup in the UFC Main Events - or at the very least a star studded roster even if there have been no great fights - MMA buffs are now quick to write the competition off or stay away from it in general if there isn't a world champion or a legend of the sport.

The UFC 120 prospects action doesn't have any champion or substantial name in the roster but it may just be a few of the best fighting that UFC buffs are going to see all year. Too frequently these days, the UFC has been all style and little substance. Of course there have been some incredible fights, with substantial names in recent UFC Main Events. But when was the last time that you saw a match in one of these matches that blew your mind?

Usually when the victors come out they make quick work of their competitors and take care of business. Or when a icon of the sport steps into the Octagon, they are great at selling tickets, but they are typically about 5 years and 20 pounds past their fighting prime and humiliate themselves.

In the impending UFC 120 gambling action there aren't plenty of identifiable names to the average UFC lover. And the names that are known aren't exactly legends of the sport. Unlike the UFC 119 action, there are no victors or former victors in the UFC 120 gambling action either.

And while that could turn some people off, the truth of the matter is that the UFC 120 just may be some of the best fighting that we've viewed at a UFC Main Event in a little while.

On October 16th when the action finally gets moving in London, England, you might not recognize a lot of of the fighters but you will definitely recognize the high level of competition and fighting skill once the bell rings.

The Main Card is going to contain Dan Hardy, who is not a legend but is definitely a well-known MMA fighter. He's been around since 2004, and has competed in quite a few promotions including Cage Force and Cage Warriors. He signed with the UFC in 2008. His moniker, the Outlaw, comes from a screen name he used in the Cage Warrior forums when he was looking for training partners. It stuck considering he and another outlaw, Robin Hood, each come from Nottingham, England. He's now ranked the #4 welterweight on the planet by Sherdog.com.

John Hathaway was supposed to match Dong Hyun Kim, but Kim was forced to withdraw from the Main Card after he endured an injury. He's been replaced by Mike Pyle.

The headline match is going to be Michael Bisping versus Yoshihiro Akiyama.
