UFC 117 is scheduled for August 7, 2010 in Oakland, California at the Oracle Arena. This is the first UFC event to be hosted in Oakland. This event was announced by Dana White, UFC president on Jim Rome is Burning. The title fight is Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva vs Chael Sonnen. Dana White also said that if Silva performs the way he did in UFC 112, he will be cut form the UFC. The rumored Joey Beltran vs Matt Mitrione fight will not be taking place at UFC 117, but will probably be at UFC 119. Some other rumored match ups are Jon Fitch vs Thiago Alves and Junior Dos Santos vs Roy Nelson. The UFC has yet to confirm these fights but they are from reliable sources. Watch UFC 117.The official card as of right now has in the main event; Middleweight Championship bout with Brazilian Anderson Silva vs American Chael Sonnen, Welterweight bout with American Matt Hughes and American Ricardo Almeida and Lightweight bout American Clay Guida vs Brazilian Rafael dos Anjos. These are all big fights with great fighters.
