On February 5th, the UFC brings us the biggest event we've seen in a while. Anderson "The Spyder" Silva will face his toughest challenge to date, "The Phenom" Vitor Belfort. Many people believe this is Anderson's toughest fight because Belfort may be the only man that can actually compete against Silva in the striking department. Another reason why this is such a big fight is because UFC president Dana White has gone on record and stated that if Silva beats Belfort, and GSP beats Jake Shields in Toronto, then we could see a superfight between Anderson Silva and George St Pierre, which would be the biggest fight in the history of the UFC hands down.
The fight card at UFC 126 is truly amazing, one of the best we've seen. Not only do we get to see Silva defend his title against Belfort, we also get to see Forrest Griffin return to the octagon against Rich Franklin, who is coming off a brutal knockout victory over UFC legend Chuck Liddell. Both fighters want to win this fight, because that would surely mean that they get a title shot versus the winner of the Shogun vs Evans fight. Another highly anticipated fight is the return of Jon "Bones" Jone. He will be fighting the undefeated Ryan Bader, and the winner of this fight is in the running with the winner of the Griffin vs Franklin fight for number 1 contender. This fight card is one of the best we've seen so if you can't watch this event on Pay Per View, and you can't be live in Las Vegas to see it, then you have to watch UFC 126 online because we will see some incredible fights.
Will Anderson Silva be able to retain his title or will Belfort be the man who takes it from him? Will Forrest Griffin be the same man he was before he took a break from the UFC, or will he show rust in the ring against an always dangerous Rich Franklin? Will Jonny "Bones" Jones be able to keep tearing up the UFC or will the undefeated Ryan Bader be the man to stop that? These are the questions being asked going into the event.
