George St Pierre Upcoming Scrap, UFC 124 Vs Koscheck - Sports - Martial Arts

George St Pierre's upcoming fight will be on December 11th, at 10PM EST against Josh Koscheck at the Montreal Bell Centre for UFC 124. This is a extremely anticipated rematch between the two fighters.

As many of you know St Pierre dominated Koscheck in their prior scrap on August 25, 2007, at UFC 74. Last time, lots of people predicted Koscheck would be better on the ground because he is a four-time Division I NCAA All-American andan NCAA wrestling champion, but Georges completely dominated him on the ground, stopping Koscheck's takedown efforts and maintaining top position for most of the fight.

This is sure to be a great fight, as George is focused and training hard. There is a long list of fighters wanting to get a crack at GSP, but his only target right now is Josh Koscheck. Koscheck has been poking at St Pierre for months during the hit TV show "The Ultimate Fighter", which has been a build up to their approaching fight, but George just shrugs it off and keeps training.

St-Pierre, the man under the welterweight spotlight, is not thinking past the sharp-tongued fighter who will be waiting for him in the cage at the Bell Centre on Dec. 11.

"I don't worry because it's not now," St. Pierre said of a possible Shields matchup. "I worry about Koscheck, I don't worry about Shields.

Same for a possible Silva showdown, even if one assumes the Fertittas usually get what they want in the UFC.

"It's not in my head, because it's not an immediate fight," St-Pierre told The Canadian Press. "Saying that too early, that means you expect me to win against Koscheck and you're expecting him (Silva) to beat Vitor Belfort and me beat Jake Shields.
