UFC Undisputed Game Review - Entertainment - Video Games

First let me start off by saying that I have never actually watched any MMA until very recently when I watched the season of The Ultimate Fighter that featured Forrest Griffin and "that one guy". I instantly fell in love with the show and have been following MMA ever since. When I saw that they were releasing a UFC game I was way stoked. The minute the game arrived I threw it into my Xbox and was impressed by the story line that developed from the very start. I played one game of exhibition as Forrest Griffin before making my own character. With my own career/character there was a lot of different customization you could apply. The stats of his fighting abilities were extremely easy to work with and you could even add different sponsors to your shorts. Once you have your character created you are thrown into a fight to set you off in the right direction. The first time I played career I had no idea what I was doing so I actually lost. However, if you lose that is ok and it doesn't affect you all that much. I expect they built it that way because of people like me. I then started off my career trying to learn what the different sparring and trainings had to offer my fighter. Throughout your career as a fighter you are given options to attend UFC sponsored events that will improve your fighter's likability with the fans. In my first career I tried to attend every one of these events.

However, I soon learned that this was only taking away from my training time and would hurt my fighter down the long run. After a long career and retaining the belt for one fight I was forced to retire and that ended my first experiment with the UFC career mode. However once I got a feel for the game I created a new character, one that would be a real challenger. I had learned from my previous experiences and knew what I should and shouldn't do. With my new career I started it correctly by winning my first fight. I then rejected any publicity events and continued to improve my stats. Within about eight straight wins I was able to challenge Rashad Evans for the belt. I of course won, and went on to win every fight until I was forced to retire.

UFC Undisputed is probably my favorite game on the Xbox 360 at this time. The game has a great career mode that matches you up against some of the greatest fighters in the world. The game is easy to understand and does not frustrate you while trying to learn. Even a novice can sit down and play this game with success. I would definitely recommend this game to anyone.
